OFC Men's Champions League: Rewa’s campaign ends after 3-1 defeat to Auckland City
Rewa’s hopes of reaching the OFC Men's Champions League final have ended after they went down 3-1 to defending champions Auckland City in their semi-final at 4R Stadium, Govind Park in Ba.

Goals from Gerard Garriga, Nathan Rostron and Matt Ellis put Auckland City in control.

Rewa pulled one back late in the second half through Josaia Sela, but it was too little too late.

Auckland City now progresses to its fifth consecutive OFC Champions League final.

Rewa player and coach Tevita Waranivalu praised his team’s fighting spirit despite their defeat, saying the players responded well after going behind in the first half and continued to fight in the second half, where they managed to score a goal back while showing courage and a positive attitude.

Waranivalu also thanked the Delta Tigers fans for their support throughout the tournament, especially those who travelled from Suva and Nausori to watch the team play.

Meanwhile, Vanuatu’s Galaxy FC will face Solomon Islands’ Central Coast FC at 7pm in the second semi-final.

The final will be played on Sunday at 3pm at 4R Stadium, Govind Park.
