Man accused of threatening to burn Suva released as investigation continues
The man accused of posting threats on social media to remove Fiji's Constitution or he would burn down the nation's capital has been released as Police continue their investigation.

Police say the interview process has been suspended, while investigators await the results of a digital forensic examination of the suspect's mobile phone.

Police are reminding people to use social media responsibly, saying freedom of speech and expression come with responsibility.

They warn that anyone who makes or shares posts encouraging violence or threatening public safety may be investigated for offences including urging political violence, criminal intimidation and incitement to violence.
