Acting Attorney General Siromi Turaga says if there are people making inflammatory comments against the peace of this country, then the police should be swift and take the person into police custody.
This comes as the police have arrested a man for allegedly issuing a threat on social media to remove Fiji's Constitution or he will burn down the nation's capital.
Turaga says nobody is supposed to be making those threats and the government is steadfast.
He says there are no issues with the constitutional review process, which remains on schedule for a 31st August submission to the President.
Turaga stresses that if people have any concerns, he assures them that this government came with the promise to deliver a new Constitution, and they are doing that.
He also stresses that any unnecessary threats are irresponsible.
The Minister for Justice is urging people of Fiji to refrain from making inflammatory comments or threats that undermine peace and security.
He adds that we have enjoyed a wonderful environment of collaboration between the government and the security forces, and will continue to maintain that.
