State told to provide caution interview CD's to defence in Wainibuka murder case

'The Suva High Court has told the State to handover the caution interview CD's to the defence counsel of the man who is alleged to have killed his grandfather in Wainibuka.

Charles Laxton Sundar is charged with one count of murder.

This is after Sundar's counsel Andala Dean informed the court that they have only received the transcripts of the caution interview with some of it badly translated.

Sundar appeared before High Court Judge Justice Waleen George this morning.

Justice George told the defence that they need to watch the video interviews to see the demeanor of her client as well as the tone of the officer doing the interview as all that cannot be captured in the transcripts.

Sundar will appear in court again on 20th July.
