SPSE launches 2018 National Essay Competition

2018 National Essay Competition launched

The 2018 National Essay Competition targeting all secondary students in Fiji, a new financial literacy initiative has today been officially launched by the South Pacific Stock Exchange with the support of the Ministry of Education.

While speaking at the launch, South Pacific Stock Exchange CEO, Krishika Narayan highlighted that the main objective of the initiative is to assist and inspire school students to rise to the financial skills challenge and build their confidence and knowledge about savings and investments about the stock market at an early age.

She adds that there are two categories for the Essay Competition, with one for students in year 9 and year 10 and the second category is for students in year 11 to year 13.

Narayan says that students who wish to enter can get an application form from their schools or from the South Pacific Stock Exchange website and facebook page adding that submissions for their essays will close on the 31st of May.
