Bus companies will service their routes in the upcoming public holidays as they would do during Sundays.
The Fiji Bus Operators Association General Secretary, Rohit Latchan says buses will operate according to the Sunday routine however if there is a demand for long distance operators, they will provide supplementary services.
He says normally during public holidays buses operate on a Sunday routine.
Fijivillage asked the Fiji Bus Operators Association on whether there would be changes in the bus service during the holidays as there would be many people going out visiting their friends and families who will not be able to afford travelling by taxi.
However the General Secretary says people living along the Suva-Nausori corridor witness somewhat a 24 hours bus service.
Latchan says if the need arises service providers will engage relevant supplementary bus service providers.
