Bachchan Pandey ripple effect: Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom gets new release date

For a moment, fans believed that Akshay Kumar will be facing a box office clash with himself next year since two of his films, Bachchan Pandey and Bell Bottom, were scheduled to release on January 22, 2021.

Putting an end to the confusion, Akshay took to Instagram and announced the new release date of Bell Bottom with a hilarious caption.

Sharing a new poster of the film, says he knows there are enough memes out there about him clashing with himself one day but 22nd January 2021 is not that day. He says Bell Bottom will now release on 2nd April, 2021.

Earlier yesterday, the release date of Akshay's Bachchan Pandey was delayed.

The film, which was supposed to release on Christmas this year, will now be hitting the silver screens next year.

The development came in response to Aamir Khan's request that his film Laal Singh Chaddha get a solo release on Christmas 2020.

Thanking Akshay and the film's producer Sajid Nadiadwala for the same, Aamir wrote on Twitter that sometimes all it takes is one conversation.

He thanked Akshay and Sajid Nadiadwala for their warm gesture of moving the release date of their film Bachchan Pandey at his  request.
