Delta Tigers eye strong Fiji FACT start after addressing key mistakes

Rewa FC is working to address the mistakes that have cost them crucial results as they prepare for their opening BiC Fiji FACT match, with the side determined to start the tournament strongly.

Coach Priyant Manu says the side has identified lapses in concentration during key moments and poor finishing as areas that need improvement.

He says while the Delta Tigers have performed well in matches, those costly errors have prevented them from converting strong performances into positive results.

Manu says training since last week has focused on improving the team's composure and transition play ahead of the prestigious tournament.

He adds that the return of the players who played in the OFC Pro League will also strengthen the team.

Rewa FC has won the Fiji FACT title three times, defeating Labasa 1-0 in 2011, Nadi 1-0 in 2017 and Labasa 5-3 on penalties in 2018.

They finished runners-up to Navua in 2003, Labasa in 2015, Lautoka in 2023 and Labasa again in 2025.

Meanwhile, Rewa will play their first match against Navua at 5pm this Friday, they then take on Suva at 2pm on Saturday before facing Labasa at 3pm on Sunday.

The pool matches will be played from Friday to Sunday before the competition returns to Subrail Park next weekend for the semi-finals and final.
