Zoe Moore pleads not guilty to grenade and meth charges
Zoe Maharaj Moore has pleaded not guilty to charges relating to a grenade and methamphetamine possession this morning.

She faces one count of unlawful possession of illicit drugs, one count of possession of property believed to be proceeds of crime, one count of possession of break-in implements, and one count of unlawful possession of explosives.

Moore was allegedly found with a grenade and 0.111 grams of methamphetamine on February 13th in Delainavesi, Lami.

For the proceeds of crime charge, Moore was allegedly found with $345 cash, two CCTV cameras, a speaker and an electronic scale.

In relation to the possession of break-in implements charge, she was also allegedly found with a pinch bar on the same day in Delainavesi, Lami.

Moore was previously charged with similar drug-related offences.

Her lawyer Isimeli Keteca says he has not yet received full details on the proceeds of crime and explosives charges, as key reports from the investigating officer and the military are still outstanding.

Keteca also says unsubstantiated allegation may amount to a constitutional breach.

He says if the disclosures are not forthcoming and the State cannot sustain the charges, the matter can be dismissed and brought again at a later stage.

He also confirmed that he is seeking bail and had filed a formal application last Friday, which has not been placed before the Magistrate.

Police Prosecutor Sergeant Walter Taito says he is awaiting a response from Lami Police Station and expressed disappointment that the report is still pending.

Magistrate Joseph Daurewa directed the Registry to release the bail application to allow the prosecution to respond.

He also stated that if the defence does not receive the required details within 14 days, it may request a hearing date.

While Keteca sought seven days, Sergeant Taito requested 14 days, saying the military response is taking forever.

The matter has been adjourned to March 9th.
