Team Fiji has won Gold and Silver at the Australian Culinary Federation Restaurant Challenge.
Isireli Chong from Wyndham Resort and Filipe Miramira from Yasawa Island Resort won gold in the Team Challenge Category Two, while Ifraaz Hussein and Frances Wakeham from Sheraton Resort and Spa secured Silver competing in Team Challenge Category One.
Team Fiji Manager, Kelevi Lalawailevu says the team showcased the incredible talent, professionalism and determination of our Fijian culinary team on the international stage.
Lalawailevu says their teamwork, precision, creativity and determination delivered an exceptional result as they carried the Fiji name with immense pride and proved that our Fijian chefs can compete and win at an international level.
He says today, we celebrate more than medals, we celebrate Fijian talent, teamwork, professionalism, and dedication.
Their Team Manager says most importantly, they celebrate Fiji taking its place on the international culinary stage.
He says to Chong, Miramira, Hussein and Wakeham — their achievement is an inspiration to every young chef dreaming of representing Fiji one day.
Lalawailevu says the team has shown that when Fijian talent, hard work and passion come together, the results can be extraordinary.
