With the Fiji Women’s Inter-District Championship (IDC) approaching, Suva Women's Football coach Savaira Ratu says her team is well prepared despite scheduling challenges faced by students and working players.

Speaking to fijivillage Sports, Ratu says preparations have been progressing well, and the team trains three to four times a week, with sessions lasting about an hour, and that the full squad is usually available for two days each week, depending on individual schedules.

She explained that at the start of the season, the focus was simply on participation, as the team was newly formed and still finding its rhythm.

She adds the team has set clear goals from the outset, which includes qualifying for the league, reaching the play-offs and securing a place in the top four.

The Fiji Women’s IDC is scheduled to kick off next month.
