Energy Fiji Limited says that while power has been restored to most areas affected by recent severe weather, some customers remain without electricity as repair efforts continue.
Several areas in the Central Division, including Tacirua East, Vatuwaqa, and parts of Nasinu and Nausori, are still without power.
EFL says the adverse weather has damaged several parts of the electricity network, affecting both EFL infrastructure and customer-owned components.
They add that their teams are actively working to restore supply in a systematic and safe manner.
EFL is reminding customers to regularly hire registered and licensed electrical contractors to inspect and upgrade their home installations to ensure safety and compliance.
Customers are also urged to manage vegetation within their properties to keep trees and branches clear of power lines.
