Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has made a stand against violence towards women and girls as he wore his black safari suit today in solidarity with the “Thursdays in Black” campaign.

He reminded the nation that the fight against violence must never be limited to a single day or a weekly observance.

Rabuka says instead, it should be a daily commitment upheld in our homes, communities, workplaces, and every space where respect and dignity must prevail.

The Prime Minister says violence has no place in Fiji—on Thursdays or on any day.

He further says it is a shared responsibility for everyone to speak out, intervene, educate, and nurture a culture where every women and girls can live free from fear.

Rabuka is encouraging everyone to honour the meaning of Thursdays in Black by renewing our collective responsibility to build a safer, more compassionate Fiji for all.
