Ratu Peceli Rokoralovo has been found guilty of murdering Nadi based Doctor Isireli Biumaitotoya, who was also known as Leighley Leli Darling.
Rokoralovo attacked Dr Biumaitotoya with a cane knife at the deceased's residence in Fatima Court, Martintar, Nadi between 31st August and 1st September last year.
During the trial, it was heard that Rokoralovo and Dr Biumaitotoya were involved in a complex personal relationship marked by financial dependence, jealousy, alcohol abuse and escalating conflict, culminating in a fatal attack at the deceased's home.
The prosecution said following an argument, Rokoralovo repeatedly attacked the Dr Biumaitotoya with a cane knife, causing fatal injuries, before leaving the scene in the deceased's vehicle.
The matter has been adjourned to the 4th of September.
