Concerns are being raised on why the driver of a bus drove into flood waters in Vatiyaka, Ba yesterday afternoon.

Concerned residents who were at the scene say police officers and youths acted quickly as the school bus went into the raging flood waters.

Police confirm that 11 students and an elderly woman who were passengers in the bus, were assisted off the bus by an officer staying near the bridge.

We have sought comments from the Land Transport Authority.

They are yet to comment.
