Paris St-Germain and France forward Ousmane Dembele has been named the Men's Player of the Year at the FIFA Best Awards, while Barcelona midfielder Aitana Bonmati has been named the Women's Player of the Year at the Fifa Best Awards for the third year in a row.

28-year-old Dembele, who also won the Ballon d’Or in September, claimed the honour after a standout 2024–25 season in which he helped PSG secure four major trophies.

Dembele registered 51 goal contributions in 53 appearances across all competitions under head coach Luis Enrique.

A key figure in PSG’s historic campaign, Dembele played a pivotal role in guiding the club to their first-ever UEFA Champions League title.

His performances saw him edge out strong competition from Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe.

Meanwhile, Bonmati has been named the Women's Player of the Year for the third year in a row while England manager Sarina Wiegman won the Women’s Coach of the Year award for a record fifth time.

27-year-old Bonmati starred for Spain at Euro 2025, where she was named Player of the Tournament despite their final defeat by England.
She also helped Barcelona win a domestic treble and was named UEFA Women’s Champions League Player of the Season.
Bonmati also collected the Women’s Ballon d’Or in September, becoming the first player to win the prestigious award three times, following previous victories in 2023 and 2024.
She first claimed the FIFA Best award in 2023 after Spain’s World Cup triumph, and retained it in 2024 following a historic quadruple with Barcelona.
Bonmati , who also won the Women’s Ballon d’Or in September, says she was grateful to have the honour.
Arsenal and Spain midfielder Mariona Caldentey and Barcelona forward Alexia Putellas were also among the nominees for this year’s FIFA Women’s Player of the Year honour.
