Manchester United coach Ruben Amorim says no players will be allowed to leave in January unless replacements are signed, as the squad is already stretched.

Kobbie Mainoo wants a loan move and Joshua Zirkzee has been linked with Italy, but Amorim says the team can’t afford to lose depth especially with seven senior players out for the Boxing Day clash against Newcastle.

Even with some key players returning soon, Amorim insists United must stay strong to compete in the second half of the season.
