Teachers at Burebasaga District School in Rewa will now have access to safe and improved accommodation following the commissioning of newly constructed teachers’ quarters yesterday by the Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management, Sakiasi R. Ditoka.
The project was funded under the Ministry’s Rural Housing Assistance (RHA) Programme and is aimed at improving living conditions for teachers serving in the Burebasaga District.
The new quarters are expected to enhance teachers’ welfare and contribute to more effective delivery of education within the community.
Speaking during the commissioning, Ditoka highlighted the Government’s continued commitment to uplifting rural communities through improved housing and infrastructure.
He emphasized that supporting essential service providers, particularly teachers, remains a priority as they play a critical role in education and overall community development.
