The 2032 Olympic Games and the exploration of opportunities linked to major global events have been highlighted at the opening of the 7th Meeting of the Investment Facilitation Committee (IFC).

Minister for Finance Esrom Immanuel stresses the importance of exploring opportunities associated with major global events such as the 2032 Olympic Games, while also receiving updates from the World Bank and Investment Fiji.

He has highlighted the investment pipeline and sectoral priorities, noting that each session provides insight into where facilitation efforts must be intensified and where system-wide adjustments may be required.

Immanuel adds that the collective work is focused on ensuring Fiji remains a competitive, reliable and attractive destination for investment, with transparent processes, timely systems and continuously strengthened reforms.

He further emphasises that the structure enables multiple reforms to progress simultaneously and ensures responsible agencies remain fully engaged and confident in implementation.
