Outgoing Minister for Environment and Climate Change Mosese Bulitavu says the investigation into the fuel leak at Walu Bay that happened earlier this month is still ongoing.
On the 5th of this month, a fuel tank owned by PetroOceania at Walu Bay leaked fuel, causing the Police to cordon off the Walu Bay entry points from Suva and Lami for safety purposes.
Bulitavu says the first intervention they carried out was to try to contain the spill.
He says their inspectors are still working on it, and once they receive the results, they will then be publicised.
