EFL targets full power restoration by tomorrow

EFL targets full power restoration by tomorrow

By Mansi Chand
11/04/2026
Energy Fiji Limited says power supply has been restored to most areas across the Western and Central Divisions.

They say repairs to the remaining damaged distribution lines are ongoing, with affected people expected to be progressively reconnected in the coming days.

EFL says full restoration is targeted for tomorrow, weather permitting and subject to site accessibility, with some flood-affected areas scheduled for restoration next week.

EFL acknowledges that many people remain affected due to extensive damage to the distribution network.

They add that restoration is being carried out systematically, with strict safety protocols requiring every section of the network to be inspected and confirmed safe before re-energisation.

EFL has also apologised for the inconvenience caused, which is beyond its control, and has thanked the people for their continued patience and understanding as teams work long hours to complete the task.
