Chandan Ohri appointed Outsource Fiji

Chandan Ohri has been appointed as the new President of Outsource Fiji, marking a significant step forward for Fiji’s rapidly growing outsourcing industry.

Ohri says Fiji is no longer as they are already on the map and the responsibility now is to consistently deliver at a level that builds long term confidence and positions us as a destination of choice.

He acknowledged the strong foundation laid by previous leadership and emphasised the importance of governance, accountability, and sustainability as core priorities moving forward.

He says Fiji must lead where value is created and be known for delivering insight, reliability, and long term partnerships.

Outsource Fiji says this appointment represents a collective mandate to lead with purpose, strengthen governance, and advance the strategic direction of Fiji’s outsourcing industry.

He says a time of significant global opportunity, their focus will be on elevating industry standards,
deepening international partnerships, and positioning Fiji as a premier destination for high-value outsourcing services.

Ohri stressed that collaboration across government, industry stakeholders, and international partners will be essential in driving the next phase of growth, particularly in strengthening engagement.

He says by 2030, the industry is targeting 15,000 jobs and national outsourcing revenues of $465
million, reflecting increased global demand and Fiji’s growing competitiveness in higher value
service segments.

He says this is about moving from potential to performance and they want to see a sector that is
measurable, a workforce that is growing with purpose, and revenues that reflect real global
confidence in what Fiji can deliver.

Outsource Fiji Executive Director, Josefa Wivou says the appointment of  Ohri comes at a time when the global outsourcing sector is evolving rapidly, and Fiji is ready to step forward with confidence.

He says Ohri brings with him a wealth of international experience, deep technical expertise, and a strong understanding of how to build and scale high-performing service industries.

Wivou says his leadership will be instrumental as we transition from a traditional outsourcing model into a more advanced, value-driven sector that focuses on digital capability, innovation, and knowledge-based services.

The Executive Director says they are also working closely with key stakeholders to ensure the industry’s contribution to Fiji’s economy is clearly defined and continues to expand.

He says he is confident that under Chandan’s leadership, they will further elevate Fiji’s global presence and unlock new opportunities for their members and the wider economy.

Wivou adds they remain committed to promoting Fiji as a leading outsourcing destination, supporting its members, and driving sustainable industry growth that contributes to national development.
