The 21st edition of Fiji’s Biggest Morning Tea has been officially launched in Suva, with a strong focus on raising awareness, supporting cancer patients and encouraging early detection across communities.
The launch which was held at the Motibhai office, highlighted the event’s purpose as more than just a fundraiser, but a national effort to bring people together in the fight against cancer.

Organised in partnership with the Fiji Cancer Society and supported by Bushells, the initiative has, for over two decades, symbolised hope, resilience, and community support.
A new Fiji Cancer Society online website was also launched to strengthen awareness and improve access to services.
The platform aims to connect communities across Fiji by allowing people to submit their details and concerns, making it easier to seek help and receive guidance without the need to visit offices in person.
Motibhai representative Anuj Patel says the campaign continues to play a vital role in uniting communities, raising awareness and supporting families affected by cancer.
He encouraged businesses and organisations to host their own morning tea events between May and July to further support the cause.

Head of Wellness at the Ministry of Health, Dr Devina Nand described the initiative as a nationwide movement of compassion and solidarity.
She noted that many Fijians still face challenges in accessing cancer care due to cost, distance, and limited services, echoing the need to close the care gap.
Dr Nand says the funds raised through the campaign directly support essential services such as patient transport, access to medicines, and treatment support, describing them as lifelines for those battling cancer.
She also acknowledged the long-standing partnership with the Motibhai Group and the Fiji Cancer Society, while reaffirming the Ministry’s focus on prevention, healthy living, and the importance of community awareness in early detection.
