Extra Bula FC midfielder Yuta Konagaya, who was named Player of the Match in yesterday’s clash against South Melbourne FC which ended in a 1-all draw, says he is proud of the growing confidence within the team.

Konagaya admits the side struggled during the opening 20 to 25 minutes but says the team settled down and began to play their style of football thereafter.

He says he is really proud of how the players are becoming more confident in their approach and how they are now able to express themselves on the field.

Konagaya adds that while the team still needs to improve in the final third, he is pleased with how the squad is progressing and developing its overall game.

Bula FC will take on Tahiti United in their OFC Pro League match on Sunday at 5.30pm in Papua New Guinea.

Meanwhile, Bula FC remains third on the table with 5 points, behind Aucland FC is first place with 15 points and South Melbourne FC in second place with 8 points.

They must maintain a spot in the top 3 to ensure a direct qualification to the semi finals.

The semi finals are on May 20th while the final is on Sunday May 24th.
