The ban on harvesting and trading sea cucumbers will be temporarily lifted from today to 31st July, subject to strict conditions under the Offshore Fisheries Management Regulations 2014.

The Ministry of Fisheries says
that the harvesting period of sea cucumbers is permitted from 1st February to 31st May only.

All processing and export activities must be conducted at an
approved HACCP-certified facility. They say no exports will be permitted after 31st July.
