This is not my full stop, I’m hungry for more.

This has been highlighted by the Pherrus Pty (Fiji) Ltd Prize for Best Student in the Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting at the FNU graduation Mohammed Shifat.

Shifat who is from Vatulaulau in Ba emphasises that he will not stop his journey here and plans to pursue postgraduate studies in Professional Accounting.

He shares how his mother worked tirelessly to support him and his two sisters after his father became unable to walk due to medical issues.

Shifat, who was emotional, says it is difficult to describe in words the sacrifices his parents have made for him and his siblings.

He adds that his father, who is in Ba, is extremely proud of his achievements, and he cannot wait to take his trophy home.

Shifat stresses that when you have the best of friends, supportive staff and facilities, and self-discipline, there won’t be many challenges.

However, he shares that due to seasonal changes, he often used to fall ill, during which his friends and teachers were very supportive.

Shifat says he also wishes to study overseas in the future.
