Auvray expects hard-fought battle in Extra Bula FC’s OFC clash

Head coach Stephane Auvray is expecting a tough battle as Extra Bula FC return to action today in Circuit Two of the OFC Pro League, taking on Solomon Kings FC in Papua New Guinea.

Auvray says Solomon Kings FC are a well-organised side with quality attacking players, warning that his team will need to be disciplined and consistent to come out on top in what he expects to be a tight contest.

Extra Bula FC begin Circuit Two looking to secure their first three points after a challenging opening circuit in New Zealand, where they drew 2–2 with Vanuatu FC before narrowly losing 1–0 to hosts Auckland FC.

Auvray says the main adjustment has been getting used to the change in country, weather and overall organisation, which has required minor changes to the team’s daily approach.

However, he stresses that the core philosophy remains the same, with an emphasis on professionalism and consistency.

With three matches scheduled within the week, the head coach has confirmed that squad rotation will be key, both to manage player workload and to ensure every player continues to develop and contribute to the team’s long-term goals.

Meanwhile, Extra Bula FC will take on Solomon Kings FC at 5.30pm, with fans able to watch the match live on FIFA Plus.
