All outdoor sports and recreational activities suspended - NDRMO

All outdoor sports and recreational activities are suspended until weather conditions improve.

The National Disaster Risk Management Office (NDRMO) says this advisory is issued as Tropical Cyclone Vaianu continues to bring persistent rainfall, thunderstorms, and hazardous conditions across the country.

The Nadi Weather office says the current weather may result in slippery and unsafe playing surfaces, reduced visibility, an increased risk of lightning strikes, and localised flooding in low-lying areas.

NDMO says event organisers, relevant authorities, and members of the public are urged to prioritise safety and take all necessary precautions.
