The Land Transport Authority of Fiji Chief Executive Officer Samuel Simpson

The Land Transport Authority of Fiji Chief Executive Officer, Samuel Simpson says they are committed to fighting all forms of corruption with spot checks being carried out frequently.

Simpson says corruption does not only involve LTA staff.

He says there have been instances of fraudulent applications in relation to PSV permits.

The LTA further says where this is identified the LTA always presses for prosecution under the Crimes Act 2009.

The Authority says any corrupt acts must be reported immediately - an investigation will follow and prosecutions will always be actioned in every identifiable case no matter how trivial.

Simpson says that for complaints, people can call the LTA contact centre at 9905694.

Stay with us as we will have more on this later today.
