Yuva Dance Group is set to dazzle audiences at 2025 Fiji Showcase Navtarang and Radio Sargam Dhamaka Show, blending traditional dance forms with contemporary styles like hip-hop, b-boying, and fire dancing, aiming to elevate Fiji's dance scene.

Director Kurnal Verma says this year's performance introduces fire dancing to their routine, a first for the group.

Verma says the inclusion of fire dancing aims to elevate the art form in Fiji and inspire audience to appreciate the depth and diversity of dance.

He says they want to show their audience what dance is all about.

The director says as a multicultural fusion dance group, Yuva brings together dancers from various backgrounds, collaborating to create routines that resonate with a wide audience.

Verma says their performances are not just about movement, they are about storytelling.

He says each routine is crafted to convey narratives that reflect personal experiences and collective heritage.

Verma says the group faces challenges, such as time constraints in choreography, but their passion and teamwork enable them to overcome these obstacles.

He credits the success of Yuva to the dedication and hard work of its members, highlighting the fact that their performances are the hard work of their dancers.

The Navtarang and Radio Sargam Dhamaka Show is from 5 to 8pm.

Vou Island Adventurers take the Subrails Internal Entertainment Stage from 3 to 3.30pm.

Piva will close things out on the Internal Entertainment Stage from 4 to 4.30pm.

Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for children under 12 and gates close at 9pm.
