Xavier wins U17 Secondary Schools Football IDC final after beating Korovuto College 1-0

Xavier College has won the Under 17 title of the Digicel Fiji Secondary Schools Football IDC for the first time after beating Korovuto College 1-0.

Filimoni Matamala scored for Xavier in the first half.

Coach Ravin Raj has dedicated the win to his 2-year-old daughter, his wife who was fasting today, the school administration and the parents.

Xavier College is also the U-15 champion after beating Vashist Muni College 4-3 on penalties.

The girls open grade final between Xavier and Vunimono High School is underway.

Xavier College will take on Labasa Muslim College in the U19 final later today.
