A 23-year-old woman who allegedly stabbed her husband after a heated argument has been granted bail by Suva High Court Judge Justice Daniel Goundar.

The woman has been charged with one count of act to cause grievous bodily harm.

The alleged incident occurred in Gau on the 29th of last month.

The court was informed the argument was about taking care of the couple's one-year-old child and the woman had taken a knife and swung it at her husband injuring his wrist.

The court was informed that the woman and her husband have since reconciled as they have a child to look after.

The court was also informed that upon being granted bail, the woman would reside in her village in Gau to look after her child.

Justice Goundar told the woman that she may return to her village but must attend the Suva Magistrates Court on the 9th of April where the Chief Magistrate will decide whether the matter will be tried in the island court.
