Nadroga Rugby Union President Tiko Matawalu and the Nadroga Rugby Team during a tour this year.

Nadroga Rugby President Tiko Matawalu says the players' fitness has improved and they are ready to defend their Farebrother Sullivan Trophy against Suva.

Matawalu says they are hoping to avoid making the same mistakes they did in the Skipper Cup final against Suva last year where they lost 34-26.

Some of the players that are expected to feature for Nadroga are Fiji 7s stars Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Isoa Tabu and Kavekini Tabu, Apenisa Cakaubalavu, Joeli Lutumailagi, Emosi Vucago, Eremasi Radrodro and Apete Sala-waqa-vuka.

The last time the two teams met in the Farebrother Sullivan Challenge was last year where Nadroga beat Suva 24-13.

The Skipper Cup match and Farebrother Sullivan Trophy Challenge between Suva and Nadroga will be held next Saturday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

In other matches next Saturday, Naitasiri will face Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park, Yasawa will play Nadi at Churchill Park while Namosi will face Tailevu at Thompson Park.
