Waratahs captain, Simmons to return from injury against Brumbies

The Waratahs have received a boost to their tight five combinations with second-rower Rob Simmons returning to captain the side against the Brumbies this Sunday.

Wallabies prop Tom Robertson will also return from injury to add much-needed depth off the bench for Waratahs while attacking threat Mark Nawaqanitawase will start on the wing opposite Jack Maddocks after returning from a back injury.

Damien Fitzpatrick will take Robbie Abel's place at hooker while halfback Jake Gordon remains sidelined with a hamstring worry, leaving Mitch Short to start and Michael McDonald to cover off the bench.

The Waratahs will take on the Brumbies at 5.05pm Sunday.

The Chiefs will face the Hurricanes at 6.05 tonight, the Blues will take on the Lions at 3.25pm tomorrow, the Crusaders will play the Sunwolves at 5.35pm tomorrow while the Reds will take on the Bulls at 8.15pm tomorrow.
