Usamate calls on JSC and Govt to act now and discipline Malimali

18/02/2025

Opposition MP, Jone Usamate is calling on the Judicial Services Commission and the government to act now after the King’s Counsel’s opinion that the Commission can suspend FICAC Commissioner, Barbara Malimali.

Usamate says there should be no time to waste.

He says this is to make sure that the government can maintain the integrity of FICAC for the people of this country, for the current generations that live with us today and those that will follow because this is a very important fundamental principle of good governance.

We have sought comments from Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka.
