A Tui Narere Transport bus went off the parking area at the Suva Bus Stand and ended up at the passengers waiting area damaging some parts of the bus stand earlier today.

No one was injured during the incident.

Tui Narere Transport General Manager Richard Lal says they will take action against the driver as he failed to switch off the engine and take the bus key with him when he went to the washroom.

Lal says someone at the bus stand sat on driver’s seat and moved the bus which resulted in the accident.

He says they will repair the damage at the bus stand

Police are also investigating the matter.
