Based on the projected track of the Tropical Depression, people in Viti Levu, Kadavu, Lomaiviti Group, Yasawa and Mamanuca group will be able to feel some strong winds in the next 12 to 24 hours.

These expected strong winds will be indirect effects from the Tropical Depression and it will be able to bring down some temporary shelters and also damage crops.

Close to its centre the depression is expected to have average winds up to 45 kilometres per hour with momentary gusts of up to 80 kilometres per hour.

A strong wind warning is in force for the rest of Fiji.

People should expect continuos rain as a heavy rain warning remains in force for the Fiji group.

A flood warning is in force for low lying areas near Vatukacevaceva to Rakiraki Town and Nasivi to Tavua Town.

A flood alert also remains in force for low lying areas and areas adjacent to major rivers for the whole of Fiji.

Communities living in flood prone and low lying areas should take all necessary precautions and also for those living in landslide‑prone areas.
