Trina Davis becomes first Fijian women’s player to become a professional soccer player

19-year-old Trina Davis has become the first player in the national women’s soccer team to become a professional soccer player as she has signed a contract with an Israeli Club.

Fiji FA says Davis has signed a contract with an Israeli Club, ASA Tel Aviv and has left to fulfil her dreams today.

Davis on her Facebook page say she has signed the contract, flights are booked, bags packed and dreams are becoming a reality.

She made her debut for the national team at the age of 16 at the OFC Champions League.

She was the highest goal scorer with nine goals.

Davis is born in the USA to Vikashni Davis from Veisese, Lautoka and Scott Davis from Kirkland, Washington USA.

ASA Tel Aviv is affiliated with Tel Aviv University and is part of the ASA Tel Aviv Sports Club.

The club won 5 Israeli Women's Cup finals and had participated in 2019-2020 UEFA Women's Champions League.
