He has made it into the squad.

Pacific sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro has been included in the Vodafone Fiji 7s wider training squad.

Coach Gareth Baber has confirmed this to Fijivillage this morning as he continues his work with players in the gym before assembling the squad next month.

Baber says Tabakaucoro has a lot of work to do if he is to stand a chance to get a spot in the Fiji team for the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Baber adds that there are some new players in the training squad for next season.

Some of the players who have secured their contracts overseas include Joeli Lutumailagi and Setareki Bituniyata.

Baber has been going to local tournaments searching for talents as he gets ready for his second series.

The first tournament of the 2017/2018 World Sevens Series will be held in Dubai from the 2nd to the 4th of December.
