TC Winston continues to move away from the Fiji Group

Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston continues to move further away from the Fiji group.

It is still a Category 5 system and was located 220 kilometres west of Viwa Island in the Yasawas at 9am today.

The Cyclone is expected to be located 380 kilometres west of Viwa at 12pm tomorrow.

A flood warning remains in force for the low lying areas near the Wainibuka, Navua, Rewa, Sigatoka, Ba, Nadi and Labasa river.

This is because their water levels continue to rise.
