Traffic investigators have managed to locate the driver of the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the hit-and-run accident that claimed the life of a man in his 50s in Nabou earlier this week.

Police say upon further inquiries, it was established that he was one of the victims conveyed to the Nadi Hospital. He had allegedly provided false information that the driver had fled the scene.

He remains admitted at the Nadi Hospital as investigations continue.

Police had earlier said that two people were taken to the hospital for treatment.
