Former Fiji Under 20 player Alex Hodgman who made his debut yesterday for the All Blacks says it was the confidence and support of the players that made it much easier for him to play his role on the field.

The All Blacks showcased their class as they thrashed the Wallabies 27-7 in their second Bledisloe Cup match at Eden Park.

Hodgman was named on the bench for the All Blacks and entered the field in the 34th minute of the first half as Joe Moody was carried off the field due to concussion.

Hodgman says he feels sorry for Moody and it was unfortunate what had happened.

The 27-year-old says he was nervous seeing Moody go down but if it wasn't the support from families and the players he would not have been confident enough to do his job.

The third Bledisloe Cup test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies will be held at 8.45pm next Saturday at Sydney's ANZ Stadium.
