Screening and isolation zones have been activated along portions of Navosai Rd in Narere and Velau Drive in Kinoya in Nasinu.
The Health Ministry says residents of these two areas are informed that health staff will be visible to the public in their areas over the next few days, carrying out investigations as part of the ongoing COVID-19 investigations and contact tracing.
It says households in the screening and isolation zones of Navosai Rd and Velau Drive are to remain at home and not visit other households during this period of contact tracing and containment measures.
The Health Ministry is requesting the understanding and cooperation from the public for this screening and containment exercise.
It reiterates that the best way to stop local and community transmission is to follow COVID safety restrictions and maintain safe COVID hygiene practices.
