The Salvation Army in Fiji launched an Addict Service program today.

Salvation Army Major and Head of Addicts Service, Epironi Tolei says this is aimed at helping those who are addicted to drugs and alcohol.

Tolei says that the main aim of the service will be to treat and work alongside alcohol and drug abusers and to also teach them how to manage their addiction.

This is a three part support initiative which includes a one on one support talk with a counselor, awareness programs on drug and alcohol abuse and also counseling on how to overcome and maintain the change in their lives.

The Salvation Army Addicts Service is currently conducting workshops and awareness programs at the Korovou Corrections Centre.
