Rewa extend their lead in the VPL points table after beating Navua 2-1

The Rewa soccer team have extended their lead at the top of the Vodafone Premier League points table after beating Navua 2-1 at Ratu Cakobau Park.

Patrick Joseph gave Rewa the lead in the first half from the penalty as they led 1-0 at the break.

Epeli Valevou then doubled Rewa’s lead in the second half before Navua got a late consolation goal.

In other matches this afternoon Suva and Nasinu played out a 3-3 draw at Ratu Cakobau Park while Lautoka and Labasa played out a goalless draw at Churchill Park.

Looking at the VPL points table, Rewa still leads with 12 points after 5 matches, Lautoka are second with 7 points after 3 matches while Nadi are third with 6 points after 4 matches.
