Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka will pay a visit to India next week where he will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday.
Modi will also host a lunch in honour of the visiting dignitary.
The Indian High Commission says he will be accompanied by his spouse Sulueti Rabuka and the delegation will include Minister of Health Ratu Atonio Lalabalavu and senior officials.
They say this would be the first visit to India by Rabuka in his present capacity.
Rabuka is scheduled to call on Indian President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi.
Murmu visited Fiji in August last year.
Rabuka is expected to deliver a talk on ‘Ocean of Peace’ at the Indian Council of World Affairs (ICWA), New Delhi.
The High Commission says Rabuka's visit underscores the longstanding and enduring ties between India and Fiji.
They add it reaffirms the continued commitment of both countries to further strengthen the bilateral relationship across all sectors and their our close people-to-people ties.
