Defending Coca-Cola Games Boys champion Ratu Kadavulevu School will be training 100 athletes to prepare for the Tailevu Zone after completing their inter-house competition over the weekend.

Ma’afu House won the inter-house competition with 15 gold, 15 silver and 15 bronze.

Degei took second place while Sukuna finished 3rd and Cakau finishing fourth.

RKS Assistant Principal Masi Saqanavere confirms that from the 100 athletes identified, the team will go through further training and trials before the final squad for the Tailevu Zone will be confirmed.

RKS have successfully defended the Tailevu Zone title since 2016 under the guidance of their current head coach and former national sprinter Moape Vu.

Vilimoni Susunikoro will be one of the few remaining athletes from the winning Coca-Cola Games Squad from 2019.

Susunikoro won gold in the Junior Boys Javelin in 2019 and will be competing in the Senior Grade this year.

The date for the Tailevu Zone is yet to be confirmed.
