It is a very emotional time for children whose parents are in prison as we approach the festive season, and the Prison Fellowship Ministry tries to put smiles on the faces of these children by giving them gifts every Christmas which is part of their Angel Tree program.

Organizers of the Angel Tree program say they are glad to have been associated with these children.

Jokapeci Tukana who is heavily involved in this program with her mum Inise as one of the founders, says that this has been an annual event for them.

Tukana says that they collect gifts from November into December where they have members of the Fellowship sit outside supermarkets in Suva with the angel tree.

She says that names of these children are hung on the tree and people can just come and pick a name and buy them a gift.

Tukana says that cash donations will be used for their transportation cost.
