NFP Leader Biman Prasad and People's Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka.

People's Alliance and National Federation Party have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to work together in the upcoming general elections.

People's Alliance Leader Sitiveni Rabuka says they had announced this partnership at their event in Nausori last week and it was welcomed by more than 2,000 supporters who attended the event.

He says this MOU is a culmination of their discussions that has been happening for months.

Rabuka says the agreement today is a very important step in Fiji's political rebirth and also sets out a new path for the governance of our nation.

NFP Leader Professor Biman Prasad says today marks the official beginning of a new era, not just for the two political parties but for the country.

He says they have combined the experience of the two parties to strive for a better Fiji.

Professor Prasad says they will be a government who listens to the voice of the people.

Attending the press conference was the NFP President Pio Tikoduadua, NFP General Secretary Seni Nabou, NFP supporter and political advisor Krishna Datt and People’s Alliance founding members Ajay Bhai Amrit and Dan Lobendahn.
