With the Nadi Hospital placed under a lockdown, people can go to the Sharda Medical Clinic in Nadi Town, the Sharda Medical Clinic in Malolo and the Namaka Health Centre for General Outpatients services and other emergency services.

The Health Ministry’s Chief Medical Advisor Doctor Jemesa Tudravu says the Special Outpatient Clinic which was at the Sharda Medical Clinic has been temporarily suspended.

He says all admissions will be referred to the Lautoka Hospital and the Sigatoka Hospital if required and arrangement for a COVID safe transfer will be organized.

He adds expecting mothers can go the Namaka Reproductive Health Clinic for assessment and deliveries if necessary.

Tudravu has also highlighted that the Nadi Hospital is now isolated with 40 staff and 37 patients which includes 8 mothers.

Tudravu says the hospital team is organizing a total of 90 staff who will be rostered to look after the patients and will be accommodated at the Government designated quarantine facility in Nadi while undergoing testing.

He says the testing facility will continue to operate and test all swabs from the Nadi area.
